I was going through my closet today and came upon a clothes hanger that had Christian Lacroix on it!
how can we forget an artistic designer, who's designs were theatrical, elegant and especially over the top and not boring!t
Since his 2009 fall last collection, which was mainly due to a recession and his in ability to cut down on his emaculate taste for the expensive, he has remained far from fashion scene but has kept busy with curating a musuem exhibition at the Musee du quai Branly, which exhibits a collection of 150 gowns embroidered by middle eastern women in Palestine, Syria and Jordan.
In addition to some gown asked by the Berlin State Opera prodction of Agrippina and also with the New York Metropolitian for a the clothes for the soprano Renée Fleming.
Here are some images which i personally thought were so tasteful of his last 2009 collection with a finale wedding dress called an eau de nil !
Currently another designer holds the name and has started with a men's collection on www.christianlacroix.fr and well men's collection is not my forte, although i do appreciate the model coming out in strasse on their faces and some of the pieces!
love!
